Message from the Commander

Welcome Message

I Hope all is well in your homes and with your family’s. We had a Washington County Commanders meeting yesterday and there was a lot of concern about the Covid-19 and large gatherings. The decision was made that each post would decide when and if to cancel any meetings. It seems that everything is running on a 2-week schedule. Currently Post 100 only had one meeting scheduled for March 25th for the American Legion Riders.

I do not want to put out a blanket statement cancelling all of our activities until the crisis is over. We will continue to make plans for future meetings such as the April 8th Business Meeting. We will monitor the situation and cancel activities as the need arises. In the meantime, please do what you feel is necessary to maintain your heath and the health of your family’s.

One activity that I will not cancel is our duty to preform Military Honors for the veterans who have passed away. As always, there is not obligation to attend these services. If you do not feel comfortable attending these services that is OK. .

Boy Scout Troop 1919 meets in our building on Thursdays at 6pm. On Wednesdays our cub scouts invade the building to learn more scout stuff.
